I came on a rainy Sunday when the parking lot was completely full, but inside I would not call it overwhelming and every kid had areas to play on their own.
There were no exhibits closed. Everything was open other than the outside area which shuts during the rain, something to be aware of.
I’ve been to a couple Other children’s museums, this one had the most natural light, and also felt the most “airy” with multiple atriums. I would also say this children’s museum is probably the most creative I’ve been to, including a fun socks, sliding area that’s kind of like ice-skating.
The reason for four stars not five is the pricing model, which is $20 for both kids and adults. It’s pretty obvious everything is made for kids to play with, to charge the same for adults who don’t take up any activities seems odd, and for us bringing grandparents Cost $40 extra. Why not charge $30 per child in $10 per adult? That way it also disincentives one adult from bringing many children who aren’t supervised (which is the current incentive).
Great place for kids and families, especially on rainy days. The staff has always been friendly. I also like the fact that they try to update new areas and do their best to keep the kiddos entertained.
Very disappointed. Been to the museum many times. Each time was just a little less enjoyable but this visit I brought my 1 1/2 year old grandchild for her first time. It was a mess. Way too many people and the kids were running a muck. Parents were not watching their children. No discipline, no teaching of sharing. Just run around, hoard all the kitchen food and utensils and then just go over to the grocery store take all the food and throw everything else on the floor!!! There was not one employee watching or supervising. I spoke to the young lady at the check in counter and they did finally send one person over but it was total chaos. Parents: enjoy the museum with your kids. Watch them, teach them. Golisano please repair the play areas. Not just take them out or cover with a rug. Our visit was at 11:25 on January 4, 2024. (Thurs).
Wonderful place! We brought our 4 y/o and had an extremely immersive experience. The children's museum is full of different sensory adventures, fun facts, and countless activities. During the day when it's too hot to play outside this is an excellent option.
I’d give it a miss. To be fair it was really busy way too many people and not much to do. The decorations are nice but not worth the price.
Came with my granddaughter every time she comes to visit me at Naples, she really loves it here ,there are very creative and a variety of things to do.She loves the fishing , the arts, the playground that she can change with different outfits, the , shopping carts and an area inside to eat.
The outdoor is amazing. Always clean!
Many nice exhibits however several were closed or minimally maintained. The candy store/restaurant was very cute but had very few food items or utensils available to use. The sand and water exhibit would be great if there was sand. It would be fun to draw with chalk on the chalkboard but it was completely covered with drawings and only staff can wash it. For the cost I would expect more.
This is a great museum for young and older toddlers. We came with a one and three year old and loved it.
There are lots of "stations" or areas to have the kids engaged. Everything from physical and creative activities.
There are both indoor and outdoor activities but unfortunately because of a big storm earlier the outside was closed.
Recommended for a rainy or super hot day.
